NOTICE OF RATE INCREASE

Kempner Water Supply Corporation Board of Directors held a public meeting on August 23, 2023, and voted to increase the rates per thousand gallons based on a rate analysis, the new budget and increased costs in general. From several workshops and rate considerations we have adopted a tiered rate to encourage water conservation. The Base rate will not change!

The new rates will take effect AFTER the drought stage IV is rescinded, which will not occur until we see a substantial increase in the lake level. Regardless of lake level, the new rate will become effective no earlier than 30 days from this notice (11-6-23). The rate changes are as follows:
